- Introduction - Statistics on shark attack success etc.
- Nare (Nostril) Physiology - inlet/outlet, olfactory lamellae, can compare nostrils.
- Lateral Line - Vibration Sensors over whole body
- Ampullae of Lorenzini - Electromagnetic sensors on nose, semiconductor gel
- Hearing - Remnants of ear remain, used for balance & equilibrium, possible explanation for heightened senses.
- Sight - depth perception.
- Pit Organs - Detect temperature change.
- Conclusion.
Hi Suzanne. I like the overall structure. My main comment would be on your proposed introduction. It would round it up well if you could introduce the evolution of the shark including Phyla and related species so you can have some good background information. How the need for these adaptations has come about, etc. Remember to use and extend the biological information you have learnt. It promises to be very interesting, I look forward to reading it. Brigitte
ReplyDeleteOk, sounds good. Wasn't sure on what to put on the intro but yer that makes sense to put the general evolutionary stuff in there.
